Mabuhay!

Experience an abundant nature, rich culture and timeless adventure. A beauty made out from its 7,107 islands and nurtured by its warm, engaging people. A nation honed by its heroic past to endure and stand the test of time. So come let us discover uniqueness, welcome to the islands of the Philippines.

The past and the present:

Visit Intramuros, the heart of Manila from 1571 to 1898. An excellent introduction to its history and culture. Take a stride on its old streets and behold the infrastructures of the once glorious city. Inside Intramuros, you can visit the walls that were used to defend the city from foreign invasion. You can also see the canons that were used during the war.

While inside Intramuros, make a stop at Fort Santiago, the seat of Spanish colonial power. It is steeped in history and contains within its inner sanctum the ruins of military barracks, a dungeon where prisoners are incarcerated, and the very place where the Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal was held captive. Before stopping for lunch, visit Casa Manila and take a look at the antiques from China and other countries as well as a showcase of Filipino craftmaship.

Then head back to Makati to experience the present-day Metro Manila. Here you can witness the progress the country went through after its independence. For a dose of history, art and culture, head for the Ayala Museum. It is best known for its dioramas depicting the Philippines’ historical and cultural evolution. The museum shop is an excellent source of arts and crafts. Right behind the museum lies a patch of soothing greenery – Greenbelt Park. Here you can either enjoy the environment and relax or take your feet for a shopping stroll.

Leisure trip to paradise:

Tagaytay City is one of the country’s summer capitals because of its cool climate all year round. It’s close to being called a paradise. It’s a perfect place for picnic, horseback riding, camping, golfing and other outdoor activities plus breath taking sights are at view. There is more to Tagaytay than just being a picnic rendezvous, it is also a great place for meditation and spiritual strengthening.

Thus, Tagaytay is a not to be missed in any vacation itinerary. While on the way to Tagaytay its best to visit the Las Piñas Bamboo Organ, one of Philippines’ national treasures. Aguinaldo Shrine, the place where Philippines was declared independent from Spain. And Palace in the Sky which was originally designed to be the presidential guest house of former president Ferdinand Marcos. It provides an area for viewing a 360 degree profile of Taal Volcano.
